The Wheel Of Well-being is a relatively new model that focuses on 6 key components that contribute to a person's well-being. The 6 components are identified as: body, mind, spirit, people, place and planet. The Wheel Of Well-being website is a great resource to find out more information on the model and even includes a personal ‘DIY Happiness’ – users can sign up and monitor their personal progress. The website features a huge range of tips, activities to try and places to visit.
The Wheel of Well-being is also a great programme to introduce and implement in a workshop environment, for example in a school class room. Townsville Intercultural Centre staff recently participated in and completed a Wheel of Well-being training course and are planning on organising workshops to take place in 2017.
